If you don't like spoilers - turn back now!!!

I'm not sure if the info is based on the final draft of the script or an earlier version. Regardless, I'd bet things will change some during production anyway. Here is the link to a review of the script for Click.

If you DON'T want to know what happens in the film...if you DON'T want to know how it ends...if you DON'T want any of those kinds of details - DO NOT click on the following link.

Interesting read. Thanks Kbecksfan!

From reading that..and even if it's close to the final script.. it sounds like Kate isn't playing opposite Sandler at all...Just a small supporting cast member.

This Film is all Sandler and about his character in the film!

No question the film is all Sandler, all the time, but I do think Kate's part is larger than indicated in the review. She is the female lead (his wife) and the gist of the story is about his family.

Female lead..meaning Kate's character is female and plays Sandler's wife! But thats it. Sounds like Kate and/or his family won't be spending too much time in acting scenes because of this gimmick remote control*lol*
But..I hope you're correct and Kate has more screen time in this film!

I'd make a bet she does.

I guess we'll find out in about a year.

I hope kbecksfan is right. It's one thing to take a small role in a movie like Aviator, but to take a small role in a Sandler movie would be sad.

Excuse me everybody if I get off topic in this reply!*lol*

kbecksfan...Let's make this a little fun. I'll take that bet..if you're seriously willing to?
And the bet doesn't have to be based on just this review. We can do it all the way up until it's Premiere!
*lol*And here's what we'll bet. If you're right about Kate having more screen time in this film than I think she will....
I'll GIVE you my copy of "Marie-Louise ou la permission"

And if I'm right..you don't have to give me anything. That's all I'll need!

Bet?!

Yeah..she wanted it. I was working on getting a copy of the film for her through a friend of mine in the UK late last year..but it never made it here??!! I've owned a copy of it since it's release. So I'm going to give her mine if she wins this bet! I haven't watched it for a few years now. Especially with it being all French language :D I think she probably would appreciate it more than I do now.

Kbecksfan is probably right about Kate and the amount of screen time she'll see in "Click" ! It's not like I have any inside info on a final script or anything. I just feel kind of bad about not getting her this French film the first time around, and just wanted to have a little fun!

That's nice. As far as Click goes, at least it will keep her in the public eye after UW II.

LOL, Russ.

Sounds like fun.

It doesn't seem you'd get much out of it if you win though. Not much of Kate in the movie and a 'boy were you ever right' from me.

But if you want to go for it, I guess the only question left to ask is - what exactly do we consider not much and what do we consider reasonable - as far as screen time goes?

Hmmmm?

Great. Then it's a bet!

I like to think my instints and intuitions are pretty darn good! In fact that's why I'm betting. I'm that confident about them.
So.. just winning this bet is enough prize for me!

Tell me something Kbecksfan...From reading this review/article about "Click". What % of screen time do you see Kate getting compared to Sandler? Maybe this is how we can judge the screen time for Kate?!

And remember..I'm willing to make this bet NOW..knowing there's going to be hunderds of reviews before the film is even released!

Well like I said, the movie is definitely all Sandler, all the time - it is about his character. So in effect everybody else is in support of him, kinda like Leo in the Aviator. I'm guessing her screentime is comparable to Blanchett's in the Aviator + probably a bit more. (can't believe I'm using the Aviator for comparison to a Sandler movie - that should just NOT be allowed. )

I guess it comes down to what percentage of the film you consider a small supporting cast member to be and we'll take it from there.

BTW, I have no doubt you have very good instincts AND intuition.

Regardless of the outcome, I think this is going to be fun. :D

Good idea, Che.

I wouldn't be surprised if adam sandler had a large part in writing the screenplay/script of the project itself. as a comic he tends to lean towards the single role style of movie-making, short of other characters. this, in short can diminish the ability of the main character to develop throughout the plot - so, with that said I think that sandler is going to have to pull some major acting skills in order to keep audiences caring about his character, or else it'll turn out bad.
