Everybody's Fine

I had completely forgotten that it opened this weekend, it's been quiet till now.

I think the New Moon release is too close for EF to be a big hit unless it's very, very good. I know I'd rather see New Moon again, and the people who don't go to the movies much might want to hold off for a later film.

But Everybody's Fine won't be released here till next year ayway. February for the UK I think.

They're completely different target markets!

Well there are probably more men in the EF target audience but apart from that they're largely shared... if you removed women 15-40 yrs old from Everybody's fine market there wouldn't be enough people left to make it a hit.

I agree about the lack of promotion though, but I think Miramax is bankrupt and closing down - this is one of their last movies. So that might explain why they can't afford a big promo round?
