Aviator not doing well

I've seen Sideways. It was a very good film but it's impossible to compare a film like Aviator with a 110 million dollar budget to a film like Sideways which probably cost under 5 million to make. Movies like sideways can sometimes pick up momentum just before the Academy votes and pull an upset, but the Golden Globes are a good indication of who will win the Oscar. I'm more worried about Million Dollar Baby pulling an upset than Sideways.

Aviator isn't even out in Australia yet

Aviator fell to 7th place this week. It looks like only an Oscar win for best picture will enable it to turn a profit. I saw Million Dollar Baby yesterday and I think it has a chance to upset Aviator for best picture, it's a great movie.
